Participants can apply for scholarships
outside the Program. Here are some resources and ideas on
how you can obtain partial or full scholarships:
Institute of International Education
Some civic or community organizations
could provide scholarships to their active members. If you
or your family is active in an organization, you could approach
them to find out if they would be willing to provide partial
or full scholarship. Some organizations would probably ask
a commitment from you to offer volunteer hours in the organization.
You could also do a "report-back" after the Program.
Many past participants have been able
to obtain anywhere from 3 to 15 credits either through independent
study, a language course, or any other academic course available
within their college. If you would like to get assistance
in obtaining credit for participation in the Philippine Studies
Program, please email us at info@philippinetudies.org.
We can only assist those who have
been accepted to the Program.
